Fire crews in Steelton battled a blaze in a three-story building early Sunday morning.

It was a busy night for fire crews, who were first called to a report of an appliance fire around 11:00 p.m. Saturday, Steelton Fire Department officials are reporting.

The homeowner put the fire out, but crews still investigated and helped with ventilation.

But on the way back to the station, firefighters saw smoke coming from a four-story building on the first block of North Front Street. When they got to the scene, they saw heavy fire coming from the second and third floors.

More crews came in to help, fighting the fire for about two hours, according to Steelton fire officials.

The fire is under investigation.
